CAUTION: VENTING

Well, well, well, this week has been eventful.  One thing I dislike more than anything in the world is being let down.  One part of life's journey, I feel, is to enjoy all of the other wonderful people in the world, and hopefully find "the one."  Too bad life isn't like all of those gushy movies...Needless to say, boys will be boys.  I'm determined they will never, ever, change.  (Sorry in advance...this post is going to be a little more personal than the others...)

Everyone says, yeah, being let down, going through the dating process and all of that innocent crap happens to everyone.  Well, not wanting that to happen to me, I avoided relationships and anything even close to a relationship for the most part.  Sure, I would go on dates here and there, have a crush, blah blah blah.  But since moving to Arizona, I had a new purpose for myself.  To make myself happy, because no matter what you can always be there for yourself.  But, of course, that can't be forever...I let my guard down, opened my self up, and made myself vulnerable.  And now I sit here, confused as ever.  Wondering...did I do something? No...I don't think I did...Well, what if ....? But...? Not being able to sleep over this type of nonsense is just something that is not "me."  Guess it had to happen at some point, right?  Bad timing though....or good timing? I leave a week from Tuesday for my 3 month adventure in England.  I believe God works in mysterious ways, and I trust that whatever happens, happens for a reason.  As long as you fight your hardest for what you want, and put all of your energy into things and people that mean a lot to you, you will have no regret.  Even though I'm having a bit of an upsetting day, I'm not going to let that get the best of me...There is a beautiful world out there! So tonight, I'm having girl time.  Shopping with my friend Julie, just sounded like a must.  It also helps having some of the best friends a girl could ask for.  Derrik, Sabastian, Max, Gillian, Jami, only to name a few.  The fact that the majority of those close friends live in Flagstaff, and still call me when they know I need them, means the world.  I don't think they even know how much I value and appreciate their friendships.  Well...that was gushy...sorry 'bout it. ;) In case YOU are reading this:  Make me a priority, jerk.  I wont be putting up with this.

Sad part about this whole story...he probably thinks I'm some crazy. Just like every other "crazy" girl out there.  Just FYI, I'm the furthest thing from the "crazy" girl.

Now that I feel relieved that is off of my chest, only 12 more days until I leave for England!! Say what?!!!  Time is FLYING.  Before I know it, it's going to be December and I'll be back in good ol' Flagstaff. Ahhh!! It feels so surreal, yet SO exciting. :) It is nap time now; couldn't sleep last night :(

Raining on a Sunday

Nothing better than kicking back and enjoying the sweet sounds of rain on the pavement.

I can't believe this is my last week in Flagstaff. It is definitely bittersweet.  I'm going to miss everyone so so much! But, am looking forward to new experiences, new faces, and new places.  It is just what I need.

Needless to say, the whole "packing" thing is taking a toll on me.  I am such a procrastinator when it comes to this stuff...

I've also been learning to appreciate everything in life.  Taking in the beauty that life brings, not fighting these happy feelings, and just accepting everything that comes my way.  I guess you can say, I'm a happy girl right about now.  Everything is going my way.  Everything is right.  And I couldn't say that with out all of the amazing people, and experiences I have had.

I'm going to go meet up with my friend Sydney and Jenna for a quick lunch!
Until next time..

Sunday Funday

On this lovely (and hot) day in Flagstaff I had an enjoyable day at work, and just kind of hung out at home...
I cannot believe how HOT (by hot I mean about 80ish degrees) it is in Flagstaff lately...it's 11:30 and it is unbearable...well in my apartment that is. :)
Anyway, nothing much new here.  I am still doing a lot in the way of getting things ready to go for my trip, which is 77 days away...not that I am counting or anything.  This Friday I have an appointment down in Phoenix to get everything settled for my Visa!  It still feels so surreal that I am even going...I feel like I have been planning and planning every detail but yet it still feels like so far away.  I need to start packing up my apartment! Errgg grown up life is stressful...
Anyway, work in the A.M. and having my year review! Wooo!

3 MONTHS!

Exactly 3 months from today, I will be leaving and going to England with my mom!  This study adventure is coming up so quick!  Everything is slowly coming together.

Today was day 6 of 10 working...needless to say, I am exhausted!

I am also in love with a new pair of shoes we just got in, they would be perfect for going to class at my new school in England :)

Tonight has been exciting though...Jami, Rachel, and I watched the you tube video of the E-harmony lady about cats...seriously the funniest thing I have ever watched...I recommend that everyone watch it! You will definitely get a good laugh!  Click this to watch it --> E Harmony funny video!!

Real world? Errrg, I'm not ready yet...

So, last night I got back from my fabulous trip to see my best friend Lauren! Let me just say, that week just flew by! I'm not ready to be back yet.  But this morning before I took off to Flagstaff, I had breakfast with my Daddy, lunch with Mommy, coffee with Ms. Jenna and saw a few friends at my old work! It was a very nice day, then took off and now I'm in Flagstaff....

I guess I can't be on vacation forever, right? That would be the good life :) I guess that's what retirement is? Too bad that's another 203948 years away! Haha

Me and Laurens sister with the two little puppies :)
About my trip, though! Soooo, Lauren got 2 new little puppies! One is a Lab and the other one is a Border Collie mix from the pound.  They are soooo cute! Except when I puppy sat...one of them pooped on. my. foot.  Most disgusting thing that has ever happened to me. But other than that we just hung out and relaxed.  We went to Santa Monica for the day also and of course did some shopping ;)  It was just the perfect start to my summer, that is for sure.

Well, I better get going...have to be at work bright and early!

California, loveee

So, being in California for that past couple of days has been nothing but fun! I absolutely do not want to leave and go back to Arizona.  I can tell you one this is for sure, and that is as soon as I get my degree from NAU in about 2 years, I'll be back.
Anyway! Today, Lauren and I went to Santa Monica and walked along the pier to Venice, then back up and walked around Third Street.  We obviously shopped our bootays off! There were a lot of people from Europe there, I noticed! The place we ate for dinner was a great people watching spot; one of my favorite ways to pass the time.  I'm so excited tomorrow I get to see my sister, brother in law, niece, and 2 nephews! I am so excited, they are getting so old!
Anyway, that is the update from the good ol' CA ;)  ...Wish I could stay here forever.  I am not looking forward to my flight on Monday :(
Until next time! xoxo

I'm on Fire

Just your average Wednesday night in Flagstaff, and decided to get a head start on my blogging while I will be studying abroad! Words cannot explain how excited I am to adventure to a new city, country, school, and a new EVERYTHING! It will be such a cultural experience, and I feel like I will definitely grow as a person, and it will forever change my outlook on life.  I am also so excited to spend the first couple weeks before school starts with my mom.  We are planning on traveling to Scotland, Ireland, as well as all through England! September needs to get here sooner than later...

This weekend, I will be going home and spending time with my parents, which I am so excited for! I am also going to visit my best friend Lauren in California for about a week.  It is going to be perfect; I need some time away from the small town of Flagstaff right about now.

P.S. Listen to John Mayer- I'm on Fire, favorite song right now.
